NADeF to Host First-Ever Homecoming for Scholarship Beneficiaries

The Newmont Ahafo Development Foundation (NADeF) is set to hold its maiden Homecoming event for beneficiaries of its scholarship programme.

The initiative, scheduled for Tuesday, December 16, 2025, aims to strengthen engagement, foster collaboration and enhance networking among graduates of the scheme.

Since its establishment in 2008, NADeF has played a pivotal role in advancing development across Newmont’s ten host communities in the Ahafo region.

Through its Human Resource Development pillar, more than 14,000 young people from Kenyasi No. 1, Kenyasi No. 2, Ntotroso, Gyedu, Wamahinso, Yamfo, Susuanso, Afrisipakrom, Terchire and Adrobaa have benefited from the scholarship programme.

Speaking in an interview, Nana Frimpong Addai, NADeF’s Project Officer (Non-Infrastructure), said the Homecoming event will help deepen ties with beneficiaries while updating them on the Foundation’s current initiatives.

He added that the platform will enable participants to share knowledge, exchange ideas and explore potential joint ventures.

He encouraged all past beneficiaries to attend the event, which will take place at the NADeF Secretariat in Ntotroso. Proceedings are expected to begin at 9:00 a.m.
